Sometimes I feel like I am my own worst enemy. I am sure we all have this feeling at some point in our life.

My wife and I have not been terribly happy with the results we have been getting with the photos from the school of our kids. This year we decided to do them ourselves.

On Friday, I was one of three judges in a grill cheese sandwich contest. I think this contestant tried to bribe us by providing champagne — to bad the alcohol was removed.

Just over 13 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. The great people at USC Norris took care of me and I have been cancer free ever since. The research and boundaries they push changed my life forever. I cannot thank them enough.
Today was the 21st annual Festival of Life. It was the first time I have been and I was honored to stand among the people of Norris and hear the stories of other survivors.
My wife (lower right corner) and my middle son (between I and F) wrote a thank you note on this sign of life. The sign of life will hang in the Norris hospital lobby for a few weeks and provides a sign of hope for those struggling with this disease.
